Hello, Murun Pearls Family, On February 6, we were delighted to welcome our guests to the inaugural Pearls and Wine Privé—an intimate private evening where heritage, culture, and rare pearls came together in an atmosphere of elegance and meaningful connection.
This special gathering marked an important moment for Murun Pearls, as we shared not only exceptional pearls from our private collection, but also the stories, history, and values that define our journey. Designed as a private gathering, the evening offered our guests a rare opportunity to experience pearls not only as luxury objects, but as carriers of stories that transcend time. In a warm and elegant setting, history, education, and beauty naturally came together.

A Heritage Rooted in Mongolian History
Few people realize that Mongolia’s relationship with pearls dates back centuries. Historical records show that as early as the 13th century, Mongolians were already exploring the value and cultivation of pearls.
During the Yuan Dynasty, pearls became a symbol of prestige and refinement among the elite. In later periods, they played a central role in royal adornment—most notably in the legacy of Queen Dondogdulam, whose jewelry reflected both elegance and cultural significance.
As part of the evening, Murun Pearls proudly presented a rare historical artifact: the “Mongolian National Costume and Pearls” catalog, published in 1976 and limited to only 1,000 copies. This exceptional piece stands as a testament to Mongolia’s long-standing appreciation for fine craftsmanship and aesthetic sophistication.
Rare Pearls from the Murun Pearls Private Collection
One of the highlights of Pearls and Wine Privé was the unveiling of select pieces from the Murun Pearls private collection—pearls that are not publicly displayed and are carefully preserved for their rarity and significance.
Guests were introduced to:
- Exceptional South Sea Pearls, including rare large specimens measuring up to 23.67 × 20.4 mm.
- Natural Conch Pearls, among the rarest pearls in the world, formed naturally and impossible to cultivate.
Each pearl showcased during the evening is supported by GIA certification, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and enduring value.
A Refined Pairing of Pearls and Wine
To complement the experience, the evening was paired with a curated selection of fine wines from Clarendelle. This thoughtful pairing created a relaxed yet refined atmosphere—where meaningful conversations flowed naturally alongside appreciation for craftsmanship and taste.
We extend our sincere gratitude to World Wine and its team for contributing to the success of this unforgettable evening.
Beyond an Event
For Murun Pearls, Pearls and Wine Privé was more than a private gathering. It marked the beginning of a deeper mission—to present pearls as a cultural legacy rather than simply an accessory.
Through education, careful curation, and personal engagement, Murun Pearls is committed to bringing the story of Mongolian heritage to the global stage, using pearls as a universal language of elegance and refinement.
We thank all our guests who joined us and shared this meaningful experience.
This is only the beginning of our journey, and we look forward to welcoming you to future chapters.
